The Women of AEW: The Best in the World

AEW’s women’s division has grown since Jen Pepperman has arrived in AEW. It’s the main reason AEW’s women are the best in the industry.

One of the most underrated signings AEW has made in the past several months doesn’t even wrestle. This of course is Jen Pepperman, who was signed back in February as the Vice President of Content Development.

While her talent has helped AEW as a whole, the women’s division of AEW has seemingly been the most improved division in the entire company. And it starts by giving the women their moment to shine. With talent of the likes of “Timeless” Toni Storm. Mariah May, Deonna Purrazzo, Julia Hart, Willow Nightingale, Thunder Rosa, Anna Jay, and more, the AEW women’s division has embarked on a journey to being what I believe is the best women’s division in the entire world.

The story telling has also been great. The love triangle between Mina Shirakawa, Toni Storm and Mariah May is scandalous, sexy in all the right ways, and just brilliant. The slow face before Kris Statlander turns on Willow is brilliant. Anna Jay as the work horse of the division is brilliant. Quick aside: Anna may not win a lot of her matches, but she’s there and not stuck as the sex appeal in a Chris Jericho faction, so that’s a win.

This is the best run I’ve seen from the AEW women’s division, and Jaime Hayter, Britt Baker, and Mercedes Mone are still to enter the fold. Kamille has reportedly signed with AEW. Megan Bayne is due to start wrestling in AEW shortly. And who knows who else may show up and state their claim to the AEW Women’s roster.

Because we know one thing is for sure… AEW is the hottest market for free agents because AEW is where the best wrestle. And I can say with 100% confidence that AEW women’s division is the best women’s division in the entire wrestling industry.

PS: Thank you Tony Khan and Jen Pepperman for making it a point of necessity to give the women their time. That was my biggest complaint about the company… but its complaint no longer.
